At the core of the Coating Applicator Block System is the Coating Applicator Block (CAB) itself. This crosslinked closed-cell foam block is non-absorbent, perfectly-sized for your hand, and is designed to drop right into miter slots. It's shaped to allow easy application, and has a built-in leveling edge.
Wrapping around the CAB is the Carbon Method Coating Cloth. This polyamide blended fiber cloth absorbs Carbon Method coatings, and releases them with just a little bit of pressure. Because you're only saturating this thin cloth, you need far less coating to saturate it, meaning your coatings go further than ever before, with less wasted deep inside the applicator where it's not making its way to your piece. This cloth is the only disposable part of the applicator, meaning you no longer need to throw out an entire applicator block after just two uses! Instead, simply remove the Coating Cloth and discard only that.
Holding the Coating Cloth to the CAB is our Capture Dowel, which makes swapping cloths simple and quick.
This innovative new system gets you better results with less product. It's economically and ecologically superior to traditional applicator blocks, and generates far less consumer waste. The Coating Applicator Block System is the future of coating application!

Note: Coating Cloths are not reusable. Our products are incredibly durable and incredibly hard once cured! They cannot be washed or reused.
