Drop Caps effectively work as a blast gate, capping off a run of flex hose or hard pipe when not in use. These really shine when you have multiple flex hose drops around your shop. Lightning Lock Drop Caps make hose management effortless by allowing you to split your shop into zones and then install a drop in each area. Now you can move a much shorter hose around your shop instead of trying to muscle 25 or 30 feet of hose from one side to the other. And when "uncapped" they will magnet right to the side of the tool you are working on.
Gives you a fixed quick-connect anywhere in your shop! Mount it to a shop-made dust port, downdraft box, router table, et cetera, and instantly pair it with any 2.5" Lightning Lock hose end. The tuned magnetic interface delivers a strong hold, smooth rotation, and a clean seal — ideal for shop-vac setups and small-tool dust collection.
This 4" fitting has an integrated flange. Screw this into a surface and quickly connect and disconnect. Screw mounting recesses are perfectly sized for pocket hole screws. Bottom seal ring is designed to compress and seal once mounted. Works great with shop-made dust ports or tool dust port modifications, or downdraft or sanding boxes.
