While applying Carbon Coat, you have to wait AT LEAST one hour between layers – that's the MINIMUM time. But did you know that there is no maximum time? You can add more layers of Carbon Coat the next day, the next month, or even 5 years in the future and it will bond perfectly.
The one thing you will want to do is give that surface a thorough cleaning to remove any skin, wood oils, wax, or sap that might be contaminating that surface. Those contaminates can prevent a solid bond.
Use Carbon Cleanse for the best results: it's formulated specifically for this purpose. We recommend 2 to 3 applications of Carbon Cleanse.
